Exhibition – Consequences: Exploring the Aftermath of the First World War, Albury

The First World War – often called The Great War or the war to end all wars – had a huge impact across the globe.

Consequences is a new exhibition that explores the aftermath of this global conflict and the impacts it had on Albury and surrounding regional communities – impacts which are still felt to this day.

Runs now until 26 January at Albury LibraryMuseum.

Music – Southern Sons Reunion Tour, Albury

It has been more than two decades since iconic 1990s four-piece Southern Sons performed together. Now, the beloved band is back together for a 2019 Reunion tour, featuring all their classic hits and are appearing in The Studio at the SS&A on Saturday night 23 November.

Original members Jack Jones, Virgil Donati, Geoff Cain and Peter Bowman will take music lovers on a walk down memory lane as they traverse hits such as Hold Me In Your Arms and Heart in Danger to name a few.

Family Fun – Sunshine Walk & Family Fun Day

The Sunshine Walk aims to bring people together to raise funds and awareness for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund. For those who can’t make the walk, support the effort at the McDonald’s Family Fun Day at Noreiul Park following the walk.

It will feature attractions for all ages including jumping castles, face painting and a chill zone for tired walkers. There will also be opportunities to support the Trust Fund by purchasing event merchandise, making a donation and sharing your event day photos online.

Dance – Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance, North Albury

If you’re a fan of 50’s music and dress up, the North Albury Sports Club is hosting its inaugural rock ‘n’ roll dance featuring Melbourne band ‘Jump N Jive’.

It’s not just for professional or club dancers, it’s for anyone who wants to enjoy the spectacle of dance, from rockabilly to jive and beyond. There will be prizes for best dressed, best dancers and best cars.

The party starts at 6:00pm, band plays from 8:00pm, Saturday night November 25 at North Albury Sports Club.
