If you’re back at work and want to continue the holiday vibe, here are five things to do around Albury Wodonga and surrounds this weekend.

Live Music – The Chantoozies, SS&A Albury

One of Australia’s hottest bands, The Chantoozies, are back tonight, live and free in the Studio at the SS&A.

They sold over 300,00 records, receiving Gold and Platinum status throughout the 80’s and 90’s. The Chantoozies shared the stage with many top Australian acts including Noiseworks, Boom Crash Opera, James Reyne, Daryl Braithwaite, Hoodoo Gurus and a 38 show Australia wide tour supporting international act Billy Joel.

Arts & Culture – Pfeiffer Wines Rutherglen Art Show

The Pfeiffer Wines Art Show celebrates the work of local artists The theme for this year’s exhibition is My Favourite Thing. It may be a drawing, painting or photograph of something the artist loves, such as an animal, object, view or perhaps a travel destination..

Visitors are invited to participate in the People’s Choice Award by voting for their favourite artwork whilst at the winery.

All original artworks will be for sale.

Chill – Sunday Session, Astor Hotel Albury

Check out the Astor Hotel’s Sunday Session and live music with Jared Buckley a professional musician who currently resides in Albury.

He has been performing live for the past 11 years & has dedicated his life to becoming a highly skilled musician in multiple styles, and is an educator of music. ​

Exhibition – Pets, MAMA Albury

Pets is a celebration of the loving relationships between pets and the humans that care for them.

Beginning in the foyer is the Pets Salo(o)n, a floor to ceiling menagerie of pet portraits painted and drawn by members of the local community.

In the main gallery you’ll find an incomplete animal encyclopaedia drawn from the museum’s extensive collection of photographs, paintings, and sculptures with works from 1600’s to 2019.

A new series of photographic portraits by Nat Ord captures an intimate encounter between a human from the border region and one (or more) of their beloved animals.

Local artist Astrid Bruning presents for the first time a body of 23 works, selected from a long running series dedicated to cats. The exhibition runs until February 9.

Chill – Sunday Session, The Bended Elbow, Albury

This week’s Sunday Session at The Bended Elbow features Chris Miller playing solo from 4:30-7:30pm. Then the Luke Dewing Trio hit the stage from 8pm until close.
