If you have family and friends visiting for the long weekend, or no plans yourself, here are five suggestions of things to do around Albury Wodonga and surrounds.

Markets – Rutherglen Country Fair

The Rutherglen Country Fair is one of the largest regional markets in Victoria, held on the Sunday of the Queen’s Birthday long weekend from 9:00am to 3:30pm, stretching the length of Main Street.

This year there are close to 400 market stalls with everything from art and craft, tools, plants, clothing, candles and produce.

There’s an animal nursery, a variety of food stalls, buskers and music for a carnival atmosphere to be enjoyed by the whole family.  Free entry to competitions include barrel rolling at 11am, the infamous grape stomp between locals and identities commencing at 1pm.
