What’s On This Weekend (expired)

Needing some weekend inspiration? Here are five ideas for things to do around Albury Wodonga and surrounds.

Music – Chiltern Jam Session

A weekend of jam sessions in Chiltern will feature a blend of accomplished musicians and those beginning their jamming careers. It is a great opportunity to drop in, meet other musicians, blow your heart out on your favourite tune or kick back and listen in.

There are six venues for six genres of music, take your pick. Musicians of any standard are welcome – music students, gigging musicians, amateurs of all persuasions, professionals having a night off, and even professionals having an off night. Listeners welcome. Stick with one jam, or move around. Saturday and Sunday from 12pm ‘til late.

Arts & Culture – Cornélia Selover: I Wish You Were There, MAMA Albury

Cornélia Selover lives in a universe forever changed by the Black Saturday bushfires.

Navigating this universe through her art practice, Selover layers fiction over fact, knitting parallel realities together in a map of repeated lines, numbers and patterns; a visual code that is expressed across large scale paintings, mobile sculptures, and woven textiles.

Runs until September 16
