Community and business leaders, celebrities and sporting heroes are being locked up to help raise funds for youth development and crime prevention programs.
The Time4Kids initiative is organized by Albury Police Citizens Youth Club’s (PCYC) and is their major fundraising even for the year.
Bunnings Albury is ‘detaining’ participants, who have volunteered to ‘do time’ to stop youth crime, in a mock jail cell over the next few days.
To be released from jail, it’s hoped participants can raise a minimum of $1,000 bail. Visitors to Bunnings are encouraged to make donations to the prisoners, who will be rattling tins.
